DCBD challenge #15

Hey stampers! It is Wednesday so that means it is time for the Diva Coffee Break design challenge. Here is our sketch for this week….

and here is what I came up with…..

I used the new set Font of You on pg 46 in the catalog. It is so cute. I stamped the vase in chocolate chip, sponged it in creamy caramel (since we don’t make a kraft pad) and then cut it out. I should have just stamped it on the kraft cardstock to begin with but I didn’t think about that til I was just typing this. I am having a duh moment! The designer paper is our new Parisian Breeze textured paper. It is so nice. I hope you like it. Here are the measurements for the pieces ….

Yummy….

This is a card I did using the new Sale-a-bration set Yummy. I punched out a scallop envelope using the new Big Shot and stuck a Ghirardelli chocolate inside. THe background is the new Raspberry Tart DSP and kiwi kiss textured cardstock.

Beautiful butterflies

  THis is another Sale-abration sample made with the Yummy set. My best friend Kimberly Van Diepen did this one and it is gorgeous as always. SHe also used the new butterfly Big SHot die and put 2 of them together to make it pop and she also used the new textured die for the background. How cool is that? The pearl is from our Pretties kit.

  It feels like spring here in Virginia today so I thought I would post a pretty flower card. My friend Michelle made this one for our swap. DCBD challenge #14

Hey everyone,

It is Wednesday and that means it is time for another Diva’s Coffee Break Design Challenge! This week’s challenge is a color one. We had to design a card using the 4 colors listed here. Most of you know these color challenges really force me out of my comfort zone. I always seem to use the same colors for everything.  So, I hope you like what I came up with…..

I am kind of bummed because I used the new textured plate on the kraft piece  but it didn’t really show up in the picture. THe back piece is the kraft, the eyelet border piece is the pink pirouette and the flowers are done in artichoke and almost amethyst (I used the markers for that). The stamps on this card are from the Thoughts and Prayers set which is one of my new favorites. If you like the card, please leave me a comment. Another Polka Dot Punch….

   This is another Sale-a-bration swap card I got. This one was made by my good friend Mary Anne Grimmer. She always does a fabulous job. I love the scalloped envelope die on here. This one also uses that pretty Delicate Dots Dsp. Both the Polka dot punches set and the dsp pack are available for free with a $50 order during Feb and March.
