DCBD challenge #123

Hey everyone,

It is time for this week’s Diva Coffee Break Design challenge…. this week’s challenge was to come up with a card using this design……

and here is what I came up with…..

I used the Crazy for Cupcakes set to create my card this week and  I cut out 3 extra cupcakes for the side buttons. I put glitter on each one but it is hard to see in the photo.  Make sure you check out the other diva designers here

Oval All and the new scalloped oval punch

Have you seen the new scalloped oval punch in the Occasions mini yet?  Besides the Big Shot dies, my favorite thing is punches and Stampin’ Up has some awesome ones. I love the new scalloped oval punch which layers perfectly with the large oval punch. Here are a couple samples with the new punch and with the Oval All set in the Occasions mini. I had a hard time not buying everything in that mini. There are such great sets this time. Stampin Up really outdid themselves.

This gorgeous card was made by my friend Christy Schroeger from Colorado. This was one of my favorites from the swap. I love how she used the punches to make the dress. It is just stunning.

This beautiful card was made by my upline Melissa Ellis. She took my new favorite Big shot die, the Manhattan flower and brayered ink on it and then put it through the Big Shot to get the saffron background. This is similar to one we are doing in my April classes. Both of these cards also use the Oval All set and the scalloped oval punch layered with the large oval punch.

Just Beachy….

Today I am going to share some cards using the Just Beachy set from the Occasions mini….this set can be found on pg. 14. I just love the flip flops and the beach mobile.

This card was made by my good friend Lorrie Reid. She did such a fabulous job on this card. It looks so awesome in real life…. I wish I could capture that with my camera.

Here is another card made by my friend Lorrie….how cute is this??? I did a close up of the truck so you could see the wheels.  She used the new small grommets in the Occasions mini  (pg 19) and then put a brad in the center of each one.

This one was made by my friend Gina Dygert. I just think this one is adorable!

This one was made by Sam Woodruff. She actually cut out all of those circles and made the ball by hand. That is not a stamp. Wow, maybe she should be a designer at Stampin Up!

This one was made by my good friend Mary Ann Grimmer from Charlotte, NC. She always does a fabulous job. I love the corduroy button accent too.

This one was made by my friend Leila Rae from Florida.I love that distressed look.

April stamp camp projects

Hey everyone,

Here is what I am doing for my stamp camp this month. I was totally brain dead from my 24 hour journey back from Hawaii and then one of my awesome downline (Sue Bjorgaard) showed up at my door with this awesome project so of course, I had to CASE it and do it this month for stamp camp. She totally saved me and I am so grateful that I have such wonderful girls in my downline who share their ideas with me. I share a few with them too every now and then….LOL! So, check this out….

Here is the box that everything fits in…..

and here are all the projects we are making…..4 full size cards plus 4  3×3 notecards. This class is offered on Sunday April 26th at 1pm or 3:30pm and also on Monday April 27th at 7pm at my house. Cost of the class is $25 and includes all supplies, refreshments and door prizes. I do not have any directions typed up for this class so you must come to class to see how to make everything.

DCBD Challenge #122

It is time for another Diva Coffee Break design challenge. Sorry I missed the last couple of weeks. I was in Hawaii on the Stampin’ Up trip and then it took me about a week to recuperate and get caught up. Anyway, here is this week’s challenge….use the Big Shot to create a project….this one is super easy for me since I use my Big Shot for EVERYTHING!!! It is almost impossible to find something in my house that is not made with the Big Shot. I LOVE IT!

and here is my card…..

This is a card I just made for  a swap I am doing with a bunch of other demo friends. I am also doing this card in all of my clubs this month so if you are in one of my clubs or have a workshop booked this month, you will get to make this one. I used the new stamp set Great Friend from the Occasions mini and stamped the background leaves in the white craft pad. Then the next layer is our Walk in the Park DSP that I punched out with the Top Note die. The flower and pearl are from the pretties kit, and I stamped and cut out the butterfly (sorry, not a punch). This card is really pretty easy to make but gives such a wow! I hope you like it. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Don’t forget to check out the other coffee break designers here. Also, don’t forget, for every $40 you purchase from the Occasions mini this month, you get to pick a free gift! Details are in my sidebar under Get Connected Special.

More cute cards

Here are a few more great samples from the display boards in Hawaii…..

Here is a cute card made with the new Wagon Full Of Fun set in the Occasions mini catalog. The Occasions mini is filled with a ton a great sets. I had a hard time controlling myself this time.

Here is one of my favorite sets again….Thoughts and Prayers….I think it is impossible to make a bad card with this set. It is so easy just to stamp the tree and a saying and it looks fantastic. I love the way she did the leaves with the marker.

This is a birthday card my friend Max received in Hawaii. How cute is that? I don’t know if you can tell in the picture but the bear is wearing a grass skirt that is all cut into little strips and the red buttons are like a bikini top (you could substitute brown ones for coconut shells).  I wanted to run home and make it but I don’t have the set…guess that will have to be on my next order though!

Great ideas to share….

I hope you can handle a few more card samples from the display boards. One of these days I will come back to reality and start stamping again….LOL! I am still in Hawaii mode….no worries. I can’t get myself motivated to get back to work yet especially since the weather here has been gorgeous the last few days. I just want to stay outside and enjoy the sunshine. Here are a few more of my favorite cards from the display boards……

Here is a sample using the new printed window sheets from the Occasions mini. How simple is that? Just cut and glue onto the front of a card. The butterfly is from the set Great Friends , also in the Occasions mini. If you would like to place an order for these items, just click on the Shop button at the top of the screen.

This is a quick and easy card made with the Walk in the Park dsp and the butterfly big shot die.  The butterfly is also accented with pearls from the pretties kit.

Love this new set…Sense of Time…in the Occasions mini….
