Pop Up Christmas Tree card

Here is a GORGEOUS card my upline Melissa showed us how to make at a recent get together. It is so pretty on the outside, but then you open it and out pops a Christmas tree! I was worried that the pop up tree would be too hard to put together, but it wasn't as daunting as I thought….. especially with Melissa giving me step by step instructions! LOL!  Once you get it the first time, it is actually not that hard. You just have to be willing to try it.

Here is a view from the inside when it pops up……

and here is an aerial view from above. She even wheeled all of the trees ahead of time for us….how awesome is that? I love it when someone else does the work for me! Wouldn't it be nice to have your own personal assistant to get all of your projects ready for you? Maybe someday…..

It’s a Great Day for Cocoa!

Today is a YUCKY day in Virginia! We are having a Nor'easter and it is kind of like a mini hurricane. It is super windy and rainy and a great day to stay inside and enjoy some hot chocolate (and stamp). I made this cute little cocoa packet at my stamp camp a couple of weeks ago. It is super easy…..just take a 12 x 3 1/4 strip of cardstock and fold it in half but don't really crease it. Just do enough to leave a mark. Then go up a little less than halfway from the bottom and slide your 1 3/4 inch punch in from both sides. It will create kind of an oval shape in the middle. Unfortunately, the paper is too wide to fit the punch all the way in the center.  THe topper  is the top note die folded in half and stamped with Merry Christmas and then I wrapped it in ribbon. I stapled the whole thing together underneath that ribbon so you can't see it.

Anyone for some chocolate?

This is a Hershey Bar we made at my recent stamp camp last month. It is super easy and makes a great quick gift for a coworker or friend.  I got the idea from my upline Faith. She gave one to me as a gift and I thought it was so cute. All you do is wrap the Hershey bar in the chocolate chip cardstock…..5 1/2 x 8 1/2 …seal it with adhesive, crimp the ends and decorate. How easy is that?

I used the Christmas Cocoa designer paper and the stamp set Sweet Season along with the snowflake punch and heart punch to decorate the front.

Glittery Christmas Card

Glenda Travelstead did this same card for our Founder's Circle swap and I loved it so much that I copied it and did it in all of my classes last month. It is absolutely gorgeous. The card is so shimmery….you really have to see it in person. I think every one of my customers that made this card bought the shimmer paint and then it went on backorder so you know it is popular. I am currently waiting for over 30 bottles of it right now! I should have stocked up when it first came out. After you make this card, you spray it with the shimmer spray. You fill a mini spray bottle about 1/2 full with rubbing alcohol and then pour in a little bit of the shimmer paint from our holiday mini catalog. I used about 1/2 tsp. Then shake it up really good and spray all over the card. I started spraying stuff all over the house (including myself). It adds such a gorgeous luster to any project.

Here is a close up of the ornament so you can really see the shimmer on there.

Petal Card Pouches

I just love these cute Petal card die pouches (made with the Big Shot). They are so simple to make and you can whip up a ton of them in no time to give to friends and coworkers. I saw this idea on my friend Barb Mullikin's website here. She has a great video tutorial on how to make them in case you weren't in one of my October stamp clubs. Everyone in my clubs got to make one this past month.  You can change them up for any occasion too. We put Ghirardelli chocolates in some of them too.
