Every year when I go to Founder's Circle I get to spend a day with my friend Susan Adams and several other girls. It is always such a treat because Susan is such an amazing stamper and quilter. She has her own quilting machine! Her stamp room is incredible. I wish I could just move in with her. You can literally stay all day and not see everything. 

This is one of the many displays she has out. I loved this Christmas stocking banner. She made it with the Big Shot stocking die and felt material. You can either sew the edges or use a hot glue gun. Then hang it from a piece of our striped grosgrain ribbon.

Here is a close up of one of the stockings. The alphabet is also a set of Big Shot dies. Sprinkle a little glitter on top to make it sparkle.

This version is made out of cardstock. Same basic concept just with paper instead of the fabric. No sewing involved! These are attached to the ribbon using twist ties. How clever!

This one is a placemat that Susan decorated using our Stampin Up Holly Berry Bouquet fabric found on pg  22 in the Holiday mini.

One really fun thing about having Founder's Circle in St. George is that I get to see my upline Jill Olsen. She lives about 5 minutes from our hotel and invited us over for lunch and stamping. She showed us how to make these adorable aprons and then surprised us all with one! This is Jill (on the right) with her helpers and daughter in law. They were showing off the aprons for us. Then we got to pick out one for ourselves!

This is my friend Jackie Bolhuis and I showing off our aprons. I just happened to be wearing a pool party colored shirt that matched mine perfectly. These are all made from tea towels and Stampin Up fabrics for the ruffles. Most of the ruffles and accents are made using the Big Shot dies too!

This is cutie pie Patty Chenail with me. We found out we are twins separated at birth! Only kidding. We were actually born 3 days apart, we are both math teachers (I am retired though) , we are both sun worshippers who have never heard of sunscreen, and we had tons more stuff in common. It was kind of freaky how alike we are and almost born on the same day!  It is so much fun to meet such awesome friends through Stampin Up. I think Stampin Up demos are the most awesome group of women in the world!

This was my daughter a couple of weeks ago….all packed and ready to go to college…..CNU (Christopher Newport University here in VA). We could barely see out of the back window because the car was packed so tight. Then we made the long 45 minute drive all the way there….LOL!. It is so close but yet so far away. SHe is living there on campus for all 4 years. It is a gorgeous school. We pulled up to her dorm and the football team was there to great us and unload the car in about 3 minutes flat. They carried everything up to her room while we checked in. How nice is that??

After we got mostly unpacked, she had to make sure she had internet and her laptop worked. Her roommate hadn't shown up yet so we had the room to ourselves. She has a suite with 3 other girls and a bathroom in the middle. It is really a nice set up.

A couple of years ago I had made a banner for my stamp room that said STAMP on one side and CREATE on the other. So, Lindsey asked me to make her one with her name on it for her dorm room. She picked out the fabric and then we cut all the pieces out using the Big Shot Pennant die. Then I just sewed it all together. She loved it!

Well, it is time for me to say good bye and take one last picture. I cried all the way home……

side note: because of Hurricane Irene, classes were canceled after the 4th day and all the kids were sent home so I got to spend 5 days with her this past week. They were supposed to go back Monday but the school lost power.

This is a super easy card to make and you can use any designer paper pack (I used Blueberry Crisp from Stampin Up). Just pick at least 4 different sheets, punch out 3 squares (1 1/4 inch) from each sheet.  Cut a piece of white cardstock at 5 x 3 3/4 and glue all 12 squares to this piece using  a random pattern but try not to get the same ones next to each other. Then run this piece through the Big shot using the top note die (place paper face down). After you run it through using the top note die, then choose any embossing folder you want and run it through again using the embossing folder. It will create this neat quilted look. It is a great way to use up random pieces of your designer packs that you might have left over.

I used the paper daisies and antique brads to embellish mine. You can also see the embossed pattern if you look really close.
