Another Gorgeous French Foliage Card

This gorgeous French Foliage card was actually a birthday card I received last month from my good friend Terri Mongeon. I loved it so much I decided to use it as one of my stamp club cards this month (thanks Terri!). This is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets.  I sure hope it makes it into the big catalog in July. I am so bummed I can't demo with it after next month.  The colors used are espresso, cherry cobbler, and old olive. The back cherry cobbler piece is embossed with the square lattice die. This striped ribbon is so gorgeous. It just makes the cards look so elegant.

Sneak Peek from Founder’s Circle….

The whole week of Founder's Circle was a 50's theme and our awesome Stampin Up staff was so cute. The whole gathering place where we hung out was designed like a soda shop. These are just a few of the girls who took care of us and pampered us all week. We all loved them so much. I wanted to bring them home with me! What a shock it was to come home and not have someone fix all of my meals and clean my room every day and give me presents all day long…..I didn't want it to end.

For the first time ever, Stampin Up put us in teams of 8 so you could get to know some of the new people that you might not have met otherwise. I had an awesome team and you can see our fabulous cheer if you scroll down a couple of days. We were called the DSP's (for designer series paper). THe glasses were part of that 50's theme too. Our placemats were old album covers.

This is my friend Christie…..she participated in a quilt square swap with a few other girls and they were so awesome! I wish I was better at sewing so I could have gotten in on it. These are all made with our Stampin UP  Big Shot dies.

Every night of Founder's Circle, Stampin Up gets the hotel staff to leave us pillow gifts so when you go back to your room after dinner each night, you get a nice surprise. This was the first night's gift…….THey were all packaged in cute containers.

Here is what it looked like inside…..I can't show you what is in the box because it is stuff from the new Occasions mini which doesn't come out til January but I can give you some hints……

Do you see anything new here???? Like a new cupcake set and matching punch???? How cool is that? You will flip when you see the punch. It is similar to the owl punch with all the matching pieces. It is going to be a MUST HAVE ITEM!!!!

Here is another cute sample with the same set and punch……LOVE IT!!!!

Love these ribbon roses!

My friend Deb Valder showed me how to make these cool ribbon roses so I had to do a card with my customers this month and show them how to do it too! If you are a demonstrator, the directions are in the November Stampin Success magazine. I had a bunch of the Bride designer paper (retiring) left so I decided to use that for the background. I brayered over it with bashful blue ink and then made the ribbon rose to put in the center of the pretties kit flower (also retiring). It was a pretty easy card but looks like it was a lot of work.

Colorful Cupcakes!

This is one more swap card from my downline meeting. This one was made by Sandy Alexander. She was my featured demo of the month in March. She used the Cupcake wheel in all different colors for the background. Very cute card!

Presents from a friend….

Last week was my friend Michelle's birthday so I took her to lunch and gave her one of the rag quilt purses I made with a couple goodies inside and she handed me a bag full of stamped goodies too! It felt like it was my birthday. Here are just a couple of the things she gave me. The first one is a tissue holder that is so adorable!

Here is the side view so you can see how it is wrapped about the travel size pack of tissues. She used the Wellness Wishes set on pg 60.

Here is another item she gave me. It is big card (like a whole sheet folded in half). You can use it for a card or a bag topper. It fits perfectly over the kraft bags you get with the white handles. You just cut a big slit in the top to go over the handles. For this card, Michelle used the new bird punch and the Big shot scallop square die. I am so lucky to have such sweet friends!

Gorgeous framed art

We had another birthday celebration at my house the other day….it was Sandy’s and Colleen’s birthdays this month so we had a double birthday bash. This framed art was Sandy’s gift to Colleen. It is just stunning.  I wish I could find some frames like this to copy the idea. Sandy used 2 of my favorite sets to create it too….Fifth Avenue Floral and Great Friend. I just love it . They both got some fabulous gifts so I will be sharing more pics in the next week.

PS….my surgery went very well and I am doing great. Thanks for all of the emails and prayers that many of you sent my way.

Parisian Breeze with pretties…

This is one of the cards I did in my stamp clubs this month. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Parisian Breeze designer paper and will be so sad to see it go next month. All of the papers in that pack look great and make it so easy to throw together a quick card. This one takes only a couple of minutes. I should have fixed that ribbon before I took the picture so you could see the words. It says "Just thinking of you on your birthday!" The flower and pearl are from the pretties kit and the satin ribbon is in the Occasions mini.

My shoebox swap group celebrated another birthday…..

Hey everyone,

If you read my blog often, you have heard me talk about my group of friends that meets at my house every other Wednesday. It is all Stampin' Up demos in this area and we share ideas and we each bring projects to share ( that's called a shoebox swap). I started this group several years ago and it has saved me so much time because I get great ideas from these girls, plus the friendship and girl time is great also. We celebrated another birthday this week so I thought I would share some of the pics I took. It was Fairle's birthday and here are a couple of items she got.

This adorable gift was made by my good friend Colleen. She used our decor elements to decorate the jar and then filled it with candy and card stock shreds (in matching baja breeze) that were crimped first and then shredded . How cute is that? What a simple gift that can be reused too. That would be a great Teacher Appreciation gift! I am so going to copy that one!

These next 2 items were made by my good friend Lorrie. She always comes up with the cutest projects. She used the Heartfelt Thanks set and the Parisian Breeze dsp to make these cute notepads.

DCBD challenge #123

Hey everyone,

It is time for this week’s Diva Coffee Break Design challenge…. this week’s challenge was to come up with a card using this design……

and here is what I came up with…..

I used the Crazy for Cupcakes set to create my card this week and  I cut out 3 extra cupcakes for the side buttons. I put glitter on each one but it is hard to see in the photo.  Make sure you check out the other diva designers here
