« Previous Entries Next Entries »Gifts of Christmas with a Little Gold Smooch

This is one of the cards I did in my stamp clubs this month. I stamped the Dove from Gifts of Christmas in night of navy on vanilla cardstock. Then I added a little gold smooch to the center of the flowers. After I took the picture, I decided to also add it to all of the berries too. It came out really pretty. The gold smooch accent adds a great little touch to your cards. The background is our petals a plenty embossing folder found in the back of the Stampin Up catalog. It is one of my favorites. You could also add some of that gold smooch to the center of the embossed flowers to give it an extra pop!
Christmas Cone Ornaments

Here is one of the projects that we will be making in my Christmas Gift ideas stamp camp this weekend. I saw the original cone idea on my friend Kimberly Van Diepen's site about a month ago and loved it but I wanted to do them for Christmas and then I saw my friend Cindee Wilkinson's blog and I had to copy her ideas. I couldn't find any white tulle so I had to use red. These are super easy to make and Kimberly has a video on her site (the link is in blue) that shows how to make them. I used the candy cane Christmas designer papers.
November Stamp Camp – Christmas Gift Ideas!

Hey, all of you local Chesapeake / Virginia Beach area stampers……here is what we are making at my November stamp camp this month. Classes are Sunday the 21st at 1pm or 3:30 and Tuesday the 23rd at 10am or 7pm. Cost of the class is $25 and includes all supplies, refreshments and door prizes. We will be making 5 projects in all….a notepad holder made from our DVD cases, a gift card holder, a candy bar, a gift bag and a cone ornament ( there are 2 designs shown but each class will make 1 of these). I will show more pics of these items (close up) in the next several days. If you can't make it to class, you can get a bag of the pre-cut and scored supplies to make them at home but you must have the stamps, punches and adhesive to complete them. Or, I can complete all 5 projects for you for $30 total.
Cute Little Gifts….

These cute little treats are so easy to make. You can whip out a ton of them in no time. I used the Candy Wrapper Die (from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini) in the Big Shot to cut them all out for me. Then I just added a little bit of Deck the Halls Designer paper (also in the holiday mini) and the label on the front (from Winter Post) . I showed both versions of this treat box. You can have it open on both ends or glue one end shut to give it a totally different look. I did these with my stamp clubs last month and my customers loved them.
Deck the Halls….

This is another one of the cards I did at my Christmas stamp a stack last month. This one is super easy. It uses the Deck the Halls designer paper, Tags til Christmas stamp set for the ornament and the cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon. All of these items can be found in the Stampin Up Holiday mini catalog. The sentiment is from Many Merry Messages on pg 41 in the big catalog. It is a great Christmas stamp set that I have used for years. I scallop edged the red piece down at the bottom. I know it is a little hard to see that in the photo. Oh, I also added a pearl to the center of the ornament…..put your nose up to the screen and you can see it! Have a great day!

Well, Halloween is over so it is time for Christmas!

Well, the countdown is on for Christmas now folks! Less than 2 months to go til Dec 25th! I remember the good old days when I used to have most of my Christmas shopping done before Halloween! Now I am lucky to finish the week before Christmas. I used to be so organized but I don't know what happened! Can any of you relate??? All of my spare time seems to be spent stamping instead of cleaning, shopping, etc…..oh well. Stamping is more fun.
Here is a pretty easy card I did at my stamp a stacks last month. I stamped the snowflakes in white craft ink onto crumb cake. The Dasher stamp is done in chocolate chip and I cheated with my ribbon and used chocolate chip striped instead of espresso since I had like 5 rolls left from last year. They are almost exactly the same, but espresso is just a touch darker. Just change the ink and paper to espresso and use the espresso ribbon. It will look almost exactly the same. I also put a mini pearl for the reindeer's eye but it is hard to see in this photo.

Gifts of Christmas

This is one of the cards I am doing in my Christmas stamp a stack this month. We are making 5 different cards (2 of each one). So, when you finish, you will have 10 cards total. They are all pretty quick and easy. For this one I stamped the dove from Gifts of CHristmas in Espresso onto vanilla cardstock. The polka dot paper is from Jolly Holiday.

Christmas Card stamp a stack!

This month I am doing my annual Christmas card stamp a stack. We will be making 2 each of these 5 cards so you will get a great head start if you sending out all handstamped cards this year. Classes are Sunday the 24th at 1pm, Monday the 25th at 7pm and Tuesday the 26th at 10am. The spots are filling up quickly so email me to sign up before you miss out. Cost of the class is $20 and includes all supplies, snacks and door prizes.
Quilted Christmas Ornament

Here is a Quilted Christmas Ornament that I made using the Deck the Halls fabric from the Holiday mini. I posted a how to video of this a few weeks ago here and I have been dying to make one using Stampin Up fabric. I can't take credit for the video since I got it from you tube. It really isn't that hard, but it does take a little while. The great thing is you can use the big shot to cut your squares out (use the 3 inch scallop square). I make them while I watch TV now so they don't take much concentration. I am doing a couple of classes on these at the end of the month and you get a whole pack of the fabric included in your class fee.
