Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been super busy this week. I have had a stamping class almost every day for the past week and sometimes I just get behind. I am sure all of you can relate to that. It has been SUPER WARM here in VA. We broke the record yesterday and hit 87 degrees! It totally feels like summer. If I wasn't so busy, I might even lay out by the pool! It has been nice but the weather is supposed to change tomorrow and be in the 60s again and more fall like. So, here is a SUPER SIMPLE fall card I made for my stamp camp last month. I used the Autumn Spice designer paper and cut it to 4×4 squares. You can make a TON of cards this way in no time. For the flower (from Day of Gratitude), I stamped it in Saffron and then took the chocolate chip marker and colored the edges before it hit the paper. For the ribbon, I laid a piece of sticky strip down and accordion folded it.

Yesterday I held my first ever Cards for the Troops Day at my church. I had a great turnout….26 ladies came and worked like crazy stamping over 500 cards in less than 2 hours! It was truly amazing! At this table we have Paulette, Nicole, Holly and Wendy. They were the super fast table and whipped out the cards in no time flat.

This table was all beginners and girls from my church who had never stamped before and they did an awesome job making a ton of Christmas cards!

Here are Sheila, Deb, Bonnie and Niccole. Niccole is in my downline and Sheila, Deb and Bonnie are my customers. They also did a fabulous job!

This is Donna Cunningham (in red) who is another fellow demo in our area and she had all beginner stampers at her table too!

Here are just a few of the many cards we made today. As you can tell from the picture, it is a great way to use up lots of retired papers!

There were about 15 or so different cards and we made between 20-50 of each one. I have to give a big THANK YOU to one of my downline (Melissa Carr) who couldn't come but sent in 5 different projects for the girls to make today. Also thanks to Niccole Marshall, Donna Cunningham, Susan Tenczar, and Lynn Wyndham for helping out today. I could not have done it without you!

When I got home, I went through all the cards and bagged them tightly into the biggest box Stampin' Up has and it was filled up to the very top! These will be sent to http://www.fromourhearts.info/ and then they ship them to several different groups of service men and women stationed overseas.

Here is a side view of the box so you can see how big it is. I can barely lift it! I bet it weighs about 40 pounds.

This gorgeous card was made by my friend Mary Anne Grimmer for a swap I hosted about a month ago. She always does beautiful cards and this one was so creative. I have had it on display at my house and several people asked how she did the tearing so I emailed Mary Anne and this is her tip…..

Okay, I first placed the Designer Paper pieces on the left of the card, to help with placement of the ripped hole. Then poke your Paper Snips in the cardstock, and cut slits into the paper in a starburst ( just several slits different directions). Then carefully rip the cardstock toward the edges of the card. Carefully rip the pieces closer to the open edge, leaving the texture of the ripped paper. Flatten some of the edges, or curl them for a more distressed effect. Save one of your ripped pieces that you tore off, and wrap that piece around the card, adhering in place, and using piercing tool, make hole for easy brad placement.

I love the fall colors and this French Foliage set is one of my new favorites.

I just love this Autumn Spice designer paper. I did a whole stamp camp around it this month. I will post those pics in the next few days. This is a card I did for my downline meeting this month. Everyone who came got to make this card and the little matchbook treat that I posted the other day plus several projects that some of my downline brought. This is a super quick and easy card. Just cut your designer paper at 4 x 5 1/4 and stamp the sentiment from Day of Gratitude on scrap paper and punch it out. I layered it by punching out another one of the same punch in old olive and I cut it in half lengthwise, pulled it apart and layered part on the top and part on the bottom so it looks like a different punch but it isn't. Pretty smart, huh?

The ribbon is old olive taffeta and the button is tied on using the linen thread.

This first one was Shelli’s swap card. It is always a treat to get a card from her and even though she made a full card in case we wanted to give it away, I doubt anyone will part with it.

and this one was made by Susie Wood. I think this Autumn Splendor set is one of my favorites from the Holiday Mini.

I used the Autumn Splendor set from the holiday mini and then I did the baby wipe technique for the leaf. It is a super easy technique…just take a baby wipe, lay it on a small plate or tray and then drop about 12 drops of each refill color onto it. I used more mustard, really rust and chocolate chip. Then this is your ink pad to stamp on.
