I know it has been so long since I have posted. Too much going on here in my personal life (in the process of getting divorced). I am excited to be leaving for Salt Lake City tomorrow though for the Stampin Up convention! I am so happy to get away for a girl's week with all of my stamping friends from all over the country. It is such a blast! Here is one of the swaps I am taking this year. Thanks to a couple of my great downline for helping me make them. I have had so much wonderful support from all of my friends here. This set  (fabulous florets) is from the Summer mini but it is also in the brand new catalog. I used daffodil delight and pacific point for the main colors. I hope you all have a fabulous week. I know I will!

I LOVE*LOVE*LOVE the fun flowers die that Stampin carries. It is one of my favorite new accessories. You can take any of the designer papers, slap them on a card, put the flower die and some ribbon and you are all set with a gorgeous card. A little sponging on the edges really makes them pop too.  The background paper on this card is called Lap of Luxury. It is on pg 174 in our big catalog.

Here is a close up of the flower. I used some scrap pretty in pink paper that I had already stamped on to punch out the circle. Then I topped that with a pearl. After I finished the card, I gave it a little spritz of shimmer spray. Love that stuff.

I made this card for my stamp clubs last month. I love the Fun Flower die from the Occasions mini. If you missed out on it, don't worry….it is still available! It is so easy to make a card and use the flower as your focal point.  The background is done with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder. Then to finish it off, I sprayed it with the frost white smooch shimmer spray. The little curly cue in the middle of the button is done with a thin strip of cardstock and I wrapped it around the file in the distressing kit to make the curly cues.

Isn't this paper absolutely gorgeous? I think it is my all time favorite. Every sheet in the pack is beautiful. Stampin Up is giving us an exclusive sneak peek this month by letting us purchase this paper and the Four Frames stamp set which are not available until July when our new main catalog comes out. I got the inspiration for this card from one of my downline (Brenda Turner). She made a similar card for our meeting last month. This is just one of the cards we are making at this month's stamp camp.

For the flower I used 2 of the large scallop punches and 1 small one. I spritzed them with water and crumpled them up and then unfolded them to give them a distressed look. Then I put an antique brad in the middle and spritzed them with the white smooch mixed with alcohol spray I made myself.

Here are some more of the awesome projects that Rachelle created. This first one is a framed art piece using a frame you can pick up almost anywhere. I love how she cut out the opening and put the words kind of set back. Isn't it gorgeous?

This is a really sweet card she made for Valentine's Day. She used the Tiny Tags set and the jewelry punch to create the "LOVE" hanging there.

This one is made with the Greenhouse Gala designer papers that are featured in our big catalog. I love this ribbon technique. It is a favorite of mine.

I think this is my favorite project of all…..another framed art with the Fun Flowers die and more of the Greenhouse Gala papers.  She also stamped the   background using Elements of Style and then colored in the flowers. It is so vintage looking. I just love it.

Here is a close up of the flower part inside the frame.  This Flower die is so popular, it has already sold out and we are waiting for another shipment to come in. Stampin Up can't keep them in stock because they are selling so fast.

Here is another Valentine's card but it really could also be for an anniversary or wedding. It is so simple but also elegant. The background is the En Francais set.

Here is a composition notebook that Rachelle covered in the Elegant Soiree designer papers found on pg 175 in the big  Stampin Up idea book. Then she decorated it with the paper daisies and build a brad. THese would make great gifts for teachers or friends.

I got the idea for this card at the Stampin Up convention. THe small part of it was on a make and take we did. It was a 3×3 notecard so I decided to incorporate that into a regular size card. I made a template from the Big shot circle die and then sponged inside of it to create the yellow and green background and then stamped over that in chocolate chip. I did stamp the flowers off once to make them lighter than the words. Then I stamped the bigger image onto bashful blue cardstock and wrapped with celery taffeta.

This is a card I made for my downline swap last week. I LOVE this stamp set called Just Believe. It was the first one I wrote down on my wish list when I looked through the new catalog. It is just gorgeous. I used Pear Pizzazz and Marina Mist for this card and added a little bling with  the new pearls and smooch spray.

Here is a close up of the pearls and the smooch spray. It is hard to see unless you have it in front of you.  I love these pearls. You get a TON of them for $5! What a bargain!

This is the card that inspired me in the first place. At convention, they gave us supplies to do several make and takes but I didn't like a couple of them so my friend Melissa and I decided to change this card from the original design to this one. Then I came home and changed it again to colors that are more my style. I am not an orangey (is that a word?) kind of person. Give me pink and blue and maybe brown and green too.

For this month's stamp camp, I am doing a gift box (shown on the right side) with a set of cards to go inside. All of the projects use the Just Believe Stamp set found on pg. 109 in the big Stampin Up idea book and catalog.  Cost of the class is $20 and includes all of your supplies, refreshments and door prizes. If you can't make it to class, I can cut a set of supplies for you to do it at home. I will try to do a tutorial for this class if I have time. It would be easy to change these cards to any colors you like also. I wanted to do shades of blue and neutral tones. The card that is laying down was actually a swap card I got from my good friend Susan Adams. I liked it so much that I decided to use it in my class. The rest were designed by me. These cards are great for duplicating too. You can make several sets in no time.

This is what the top of the box looks like and one of the cards actually matches the box idea. I used the Friendly  Words wheel for the background and the colors are baja breeze and soft suede.

This card was made by my good friend Michelle Burkett. SHe used the Fast and Fabulous hostess stamp set. It is so pretty and I love the marina mist color with it.
