It has been one of those crazy weeks again and I have been so busy. I finally had time to sit down and stamp for a few minutes yesterday. I didn't have time to do the mojo sketch last week so I figured I better try and get it done this week. I am not really loving my card but I was too tired to start over so here is what you get.

I used the Bride designer paper and brayered over it in bashful blue. Then I made one of the cool ribbon roses that my friend Deb Valder showed me how to do. They are pretty easy. This is not bad for my first try I think.  I used that for the center of my pretties flower.

I am way behind on my mojo this week. I am leaving for the Stampin Up Caribbean cruise on Sunday and have so much to do but I wanted to make this card real quick.

Here is this week's mojo challenge and this is what I came up with…..

I am so going to miss my Bermuda Bay /Soft Suede combo when the new catalog comes out.  I love this color of blue. I used the Thoroughly Modern designer paper and on the soft suede piece I stamped the herbs from Garden from the heart. THe buttons are clear with the dsp behind them.

I used the Sweet Pea Designer paper for the patterned pieces and pretty in pink and chocolate chip for the solid colors.

I used the Bella Bleu designer papers for the background pieces and also not quite navy and vanilla cardstock. I used the stamp set Flores Suaves from the  Spanish catalog. It is so gorgeous but I forget about it sometimes since it isn't in our regular catalog.

Here is the mojo Monday sketch for this week. You could do a round or a square card. I chose the square one but you still had to do a circle in the middle. Lucky for me I had my handy dandy Big Shot dies. I used the circle die and the scallop circle die to get my circles. They layer perfectly together.

I used the Sweet Pea slab of designer paper for the brown polka dot, the pink polka dot and the piece behind the circles is actually tiny brown polka dot paper but it is hard to see in the photo. The solid colors are chocolate chip, pretty in pink and whisper white.  I used my favorite stamp set, Vintage Vogue for the center piece.

It's Mojo Monday time again! I have been so busy this week that it took me til Thursday to get it done though! LOL!
 THis has been a crazy week, but I finally have a few days off to sit and play with my stamps. Here is what I came up with…..

I used the Of the Earth stamp set for this one.  It is a level 1 hostess set . You can get this stamp set for FREE  when you hostess a party or with a $150 order. As soon as I saw the sketch I thought this one would fit perfectly in the tall thin pieces. I love the pink and green combo together too. I used regal rose and gable green markers to color the flowers. The words are from the Fresh Cuts stamp set.

It is Monday which means it is time for my mojo Monday challenge. Every Monday, Julee posts a sketch on the Mojo Monday website and you are supposed to make a card using that layout and see what you can come up with. This week's challenge was a little harder just because I am not a circle person. I would much rather just do squares and rectangles. I used my big shot circle and scallop circle dies to help me out though.  And here is what I came up with…….

I used the Sweet Pea designer paper slab and the Bloomin Beautiful stamp set. The colors are old olive, rose red, and pretty and pink. The scallop circle was actually too big for my circle so I cut off just the scalloped part and kind of turned it around the circle to make it fit better. It worked great.

I ended up making my little piece go straight because I couldn't fit the words in there if it was tilted.  I used some leftover scraps from my Guest Book Scrappin kit class for the designer pieces. I LOVE that kit. It is basically designed as a wedding kit, but it is great for so many other uses too. Why don't you try the mojo Monday challenge and see what you can come up with?

Here is this week's Mojo Monday challenge. I thought this would be a super easy one but what I had in my mind didn't end up working so I had to start over. I like how it came out though.

I used the " To the Nines" designer paper from Stampin Up. I love this paper and it  goes so well with almost any stamp set. I also used the hostess set  "Of the Earth" for the center circle. I sponged one of our gorgeous pretties kit flowers too. Why don't you give the Mojo Monday challenge a try?
