Glassine bags are going, going, almost gone…..

This month I finally had a chance to show off our new glassine bags from the Stampin Up Occasions mini pg 19. They are so cute and versatile and only $6.50 for 25 of them. This was one of my stamp club projects. We ran the bags through the big shot first using the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and then we stamped the same flower from Fifth Avenue Floral onto white cardstock, cut it out and sponged it with melon mambo ink. Inside I put a quarter sheet of melon mambo cardstock to hide the treat (M&M's) and to make the embossed flowers pop.  We closed it using the polka dot ribbon and attached the flower with linen thread. This is a really quick and easy gift idea and you can put anything you want inside the bags.

Mojo Monday a little late

Hey everyone,

I am way behind on my mojo this week. I am leaving for the Stampin Up Caribbean cruise on Sunday and have so much to do but I wanted to make this card real quick.

Here is this week's mojo challenge and this is what I came up with…..

I am so going to miss my Bermuda Bay /Soft Suede combo when the new catalog comes out.  I love this color of blue. I used the Thoroughly Modern designer paper and on the soft suede piece I stamped the herbs from Garden from the heart. THe buttons are clear with the dsp behind them.

Mojo Monday on Tuesday!

Here is the sketch for this week's mojo Monday challenge…..

And here is what I came up with….

I used the Sweet Pea Designer paper for the patterned pieces and pretty in pink and chocolate chip for the solid colors.

I love pink and brown!

This is a card I did for a swap for my downline meeting last month. The theme was designer series papers. You had to pick one of our dsp packs as part of your card. I chose the Sweet Pea paper. I just can't say enough about how cool it is to have a huge slab of designer papers to flip through and with 2 sheets of every design, you can make a ton of cards! I also used the fancy flower punch, the oval punch, and the eyelet border punch on this card. Colors are pretty in pink and chocolate chip. It is hard to see, but I also added a chocolate chip corduroy button in the center of the flower. I stamped the vine image from Vintage Vogue on the punched out flowers also.

Mojo Monday a day late!

Here is the mojo Monday sketch for this week. You could do a round or a square card. I chose the square one but you still had to do a circle in the middle. Lucky for me I had my handy dandy Big Shot dies. I used the circle die and the scallop circle die to get my circles. They layer perfectly together.

Here is my card……

I used the Sweet Pea slab of designer paper for the brown polka dot, the pink polka dot and the piece behind the circles is actually tiny brown polka dot paper but it is hard to see in the photo. The solid colors are chocolate chip, pretty in pink and whisper white.  I used my favorite stamp set, Vintage Vogue for the center piece.

Vintage Coaster Calendar

This was one of my March class projects. Everyone who came to a club or a workshop got to make one of these coaster calendars along with 2 other really cute projects. I used the Vintage Vogue setfor the flowers  and the Sense of Time set for the words. The calendars are from vippies.com
. THe background paper is from the Thoroughly Modern pack of designer papers. For the scalloped piece, I used the scallop corner punch and punched each corner once and it came out perfect. I started with a 2×2 piece of cardstock.

Sweet and Simple

Here is a super easy card using the Vintage Vogue stamp set that I made as one of my stamp camp stamp a stack cards. Each person who attended got to make 3 of these cards plus 9 more cards of different designs. This is by far my favorite Stampin Up set right now. I love it!! I really hope Stampin Up comes out with a lot more sets like this one.

Sweet Pea Quilt Card

Here is a swap card that one of my fabulous downline ( Niccole Marshall)  made for our meeting the other night. She used the Sweet Pea slab of designer papers in the Occasions mini catalog to make this one. If you haven't purchased it yet, you are really missing out. It is a huge pack of designer paper at a great deal! I have made a ton of cards already and still have a ton of paper left.  The quilt cards are perfect for these papers because so many of them coordinate together. Thanks Niccole for sharing a great card.

Spring is finally here!

After months and months of cold, rainy, yucky weather, it is finally gorgeous here in southern VA! I am so happy! I didn't think we would ever see warm weather again. I can finally sit outside in the sunshine and soak up some rays. It is supposed to be sunny and 70s the next few days! This card just screamed spring to me. My friend and downline Sandy Alexander made this one for our monthly team swap. I just loved it! Sandy was my featured demo of the month last month and she certainly continues to do amazing cards. She is one of many fabulous stampers on my glitterchicks team. I am so lucky to have such wonderful women to work with. They are the best! Love you girls!
