Hey everyone! It is Wednesday so that means it is time for another Diva’s coffee break design challenge. This is our sketch this week and also we were supposed to use a Sale-abration set along with the design. Here is what I came up with….
I used the Botanical Blooms sale-abration set along with the Delicate dots paper. Both of these items are available for free with every $50 purchase. Just click on my shop now button to get yours before they are gone. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. And, don’t forget to check out the other divas at

Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar….
This is a cute Kit Kat bar I am doing in my classes this month. I used the FREE Delicate Dots Sale-abration paper and the FREE sale-abration Yummy set and the FREE sale-abration ribbon bundle. Cut the paper at 6×6 and wrap around your Kit Kat bar. Crimp both ends and then I used the eyelet border punch for the white pieces. The Yummy piece I stamped on bashful blue and then cut it out and used the slot punch to slide the ribbon through. These make super easy gift ideas.
Super easy card
If you ever need a card at the last minute, these Fresh cut notes are perfect. This card literally would take less than 5 minutes. I ran the white note card through the Big shot with the textured plate. It is a little hard to see in the picture. THen I cut a 4×4 piece of our FREE Sale-abration paper bundle and glued that inside. I punched a 1/2 inch circle out of celery for the center, added a brad, and a piece of our FREE sale-abration ribbon bundle and there you go. Card in a flash and most of it was free!
DCBD challenge #118
Hey everyone,
It is Wednesday and time for another Diva’s Coffee Break Design challenge. Our challenge this week was to make something using the Big Shot. I have a million ideas for that so it was hard to narrow it down to just one.

I have been playing around with the quilt card technique ever since my upline Melissa Ellis showed it to me the other day . I just love how cool this looks.

For this one, I textured the bashful blue piece with the little dot background and then punched out 12 squares with the 1 1/4 inch punch. Then mount those onto a 5 x 3 3/4 sheet of white cardstock. Flip it over and run it through the big shot with the top note die underneath and there you have it. Wrap the finished piece in our yummy organza ribbon and you are all set. The B (for baby) is from the Lovely Letter alphabet. This would make a perfect baby announcement card. All of my club members will get to make this card in class this month. Cute new Big Shot box
I just got my new Big Shot box #2 die and was playing around with it this weekend. I think this box would be perfect for wedding favors. I wheeled the box with the new Friendly Words wheel found on pg 81 in the Stampin up catalog. Then I stamped the hearts with the set Polka Dot Punches (that I got for FREE in the Sale-a-bration catalog) . I used not quite navy for this project but it came out looking more like a deeper blue. The ribbon on top is the luscious new organza/satin ribbon. I wish I had pajamas in this material. It feels so silky.
DCBD challenge #117
It is Wednesday, so that means it is time for another Diva’s Coffee Break design challenge! Here is this week’s challenge……

and here is what I came up with……
I was pretty happy with this one except I couldn’t fit the ribbon on the top of that piece so I put it in the middle. I used the FREE sale-abration paper for the center strip over celery and bashful blue. The back piece is so saffron and I stamped the botanical leaves in white craft. The main image is the FREE Botanical Blooms set. I love it! The ribbon is the bashful blue taffeta. I hope you like it. Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think. Botanical Blooms
This is a card we made at my shoebox swap yesterday. My upline Melissa created this one. I had never seen the technique for the eyelet border around the circle. You make one long piece with the eyelet border punch and then separate each little scalloped piece and then start layering them around the circle so it kind of looks like an eyelet border circle punch.
Yummy….
This is a card I did using the new Sale-a-bration set Yummy. I punched out a scallop envelope using the new Big Shot and stuck a Ghirardelli chocolate inside. THe background is the new Raspberry Tart DSP and kiwi kiss textured cardstock.
Beautiful butterflies
THis is another Sale-abration sample made with the Yummy set. My best friend Kimberly Van Diepen did this one and it is gorgeous as always. SHe also used the new butterfly Big SHot die and put 2 of them together to make it pop and she also used the new textured die for the background. How cool is that? The pearl is from our Pretties kit.
Botanical Blooms
It feels like spring here in Virginia today so I thought I would post a pretty flower card. My friend Michelle made this one for our swap. It is made with the beautiful Botanical Blooms set that you can get for FREE from the sale-a-bration mini catalog. All you have to do is order $50! For every $50 you order, you get to pick one free item…..a stamp set , a ribbon bundle or a designer paper pack. To place an order, click here and then click on the SHOP NOW button at the top of the screen.
