DCBD challenge #102

This is my 2nd design challenge for the Diva Coffee Break Design group. It is supposed to say #102 in the 1st photo but I couldn’t edit it so let’s just pretend that it does.  We had to use the 5 colors given to create any card we wanted, so I chose one that I have been demoing this month and just changed the colors. How easy peasy is that?  And, here is the card that I came up with…..drum roll please…….

For the cardstock, I used close to cocoa, so saffron, bravo burgundy, and always artichoke (regular and DSP). For the ink, I used the baby wipe technique for the leaves with ink refills in cameo coral, so saffron and bravo burgundy. The Season of Friendship set is one of my favorites now. You can do so much with it! I hope you like my card. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Why don’t you try the challenge for yourself and see what you can come up with??  Tune in next Wed. to see what my next challenge will be. Also, don’t forget to click on the link in my sidebar (under the coffee cups)  to see what all the other Coffee Break Divas came up with. I am sure you will love them!

More downline swaps….

Here are a few more cards from my downline swap. These were created by Renee Caffee, Pam Browne, Kristy Harley and Debbie Keane. I think they did a great job! Way to go girls!

The leaves are falling now!

I saw a similar card to this one in our Spanish catalog and loved it so I thought I would try and make it using the Big Shot leaves and the Juntos paper. I LOVE that paper. I wish it was in the regular catalog so everyone could see it. It is GORGEOUS! Well, fall has arrived here in VA. The temps are not too bad (60’s) but the wind is blowing a ton of leaves into my yard. I am not looking forward to raking them anytime soon.

Scandinavian Season

This is a card that I made at one of my Wednesday shoebox swaps at my house. I have several SU demos over twice a month to share ideas. This one was originally created by my good friend and downline Sue Bjorgaard.  She is so talented and I am very lucky to have her on my team. She always comes up with great ideas. I just love this one! I hope you do too!  Happy Monday!

Swap cards for regionals in Va Beach!

Here are 2 of my swaps for the VA Beach regionals coming on Nov. 8th. I am so excited that we finally have a regional right here practically in my own back yard . Last time it was here, I was on the Stampin Up cruise so I couldn’t go, so it will be nice to take all of my downline to this one. I know many of them are excited since this will be their first Stampin Up event. The top one I did by laying 2 ink pads next to each other and using the brayer to get both colors on at once. I think it was Caroline Lebel (a demo from Canada)  who originally showed that technique a while back. I use it all the time now. I miss those spectrum pads. I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!

It feels like Fall!

Well, fall is definitely here. I woke up freezing this morning and the weather guy said it is 48 degrees outside! Yikes! It seems like only yesterday it was 80 degrees outside …oh wait, that was yesterday. I guess I might have to stop wearing shorts soon….not! For those of you that know me, I wear shorts almost year round. I live for comfort. Well, this card reminded me of fall. THis gorgeous card was created by my friend Christy Schroeger (one of Kimberly’s downline). I love the leaves on here that she made using the Sizzix Big Shot die. Love that machine! I think that is my most favorite thing that Stampin Up has ever had available. If you don’t have one yet, you need to put that on your Christmas wish list.

Fall is in the Air!

Can you believe it is almost October? Where has this year gone? My yard is covered in leaves and the other day I was mowing the grass and the leaves were falling faster than I could suck them up in the mower. I love this card made by my friend Terri Mongeon. This is another set from the holiday mini called Season of Friendship. I love the colors in this one.
