Don't you just love brown and blue together? The green adds a nice touch too. This is a brand new set from the Stampin' Up catalog called Friends Never Fade.  We did this at my free stamping classes yesterday (kind of like an open house, but more organized). I was showing off some of our new products. This one uses the new stamp set, plus the new Greenhouse gala designer paper, and the baja breeze and pear pizzazz papers also. This is a super quick and easy card so I am going to make some extras for swaps for convention. So, if you see me there, come by and swap with me! If you have seen the new Stampin' Up catalog, then I am sure you saw this awesome stamp set. It is one of my new favorites! I made this card as one of my stamp club projects for this month and then I decided to also do it for a swap I just hosted. I decided to bump it up a little so the first card is the original, then I decided to distress the edges of the vase piece and then spritz it with the smooch spray for my swap.

I used the Studio Sketches set for the most of the card, except the background….it is En Francais. Oops, forgot about the Tiny Tags set for the words (also used the jewelry tag punch) The designer paper is the greenhouse gala. The colors are old olive, cajun craze, crumb cake and naturals ivory.

Here is a close up so you can see the smooch spray on there. I used the gold glow one. I love this stuff! On the first card I used the aquapainter on the both the pears and the vase after I stamped them to blend the color, but on the second card, I decided to just do it on the pears and leave the vase as it was. It gives it a totally different look I think.

 I was messing around with the hydrangea ( Because I Care stamp set) and stamped it on a piece of naturals ivory cardstock and I thought to myself that it really didn't need much else because the flower itself is so pretty so I just added the sentiment and ribbon….2 minute card done! I colored the flower with markers (direct to stamp). I used marina mist and concord crush plus pear pizzazz for the leaves.

Here is another sneak peek at one of the new stamp sets coming soon in the new Stampin Up catalog! I can hardly wait! This stamp set is called Friends Never Fade and I used the matching designer paper called Greenhouse Gala. THe yellow if the new Daffodil Delight cardstock and the orange is pumpkin pie.  I also used the daffodil marker to color in the center of the flower.

I think this new stamp set "Because I Care" is my favorite one in the new catalog. It is a level 1 hostess set so you can get it for FREE just by placing an order! For this card, I used the En Francais background in marina mist on marina mist cardstock and layered that onto the concord crush cardstock. For the flower, I inked up the flower part in marina mist and then took the concord crush marker and tapped it all over, colored the stem in pear pizzazz marker and then stamped it onto the top note paper.

I just LOVE this stamp set.  I know as soon as you all get this set, you will go crazy over it. It is so shabby chic looking which is just my style. This card was made by my upline Faith.
