I don't know about you guys, but here in VA it has been extremely hot the past couple of weeks….like in the 100's several days. I don't ever remember it being this hot in June.So, I thought this card would be great to cool you off. The good thing is, if it is too hot to do stuff outside, you can always stay inside and stamp!

This was one of the make  and takes I did for my downline meeting this month. I used the Sweet Scoops stamp set from the Stampin Up Summer mini to make this one. I stamped the cone on white cardstock and then punched it out with the 1 3/4 circle punch. I stamped the ice cream in melon mambo and bermuda bay and cut those out. The background is our new square lattice embossing folder . For the banner, I used my bone folder to soften up the cardstock and then I made it go up and down. It is hard to see that in the photo but it looks better in person.

This cute card was created by my upline Melissa Ellis. She used the new builder wheels to create the top background part. They are so cool. You can put up to 3 of them on the same handle and have each wheel do  a different color. THis card uses the Posy Party, Thoughtful Friend, and Bees & Blossoms wheels. These are all available in the summer mini right now! The bottom part of the card is made using the Square Lattice embossing folder in the big shot!

Here is another Watercolor Trio card done by one of my very talented downline Sandy Alexander. She stamped the image and then cut it into 3 equal sections and then snipped the corners to make it look like tags. How cute it that? For the background piece, she used the new square lattice embossing folder. Gorgeous card! Thanks Sandy!

My friend and downline Sandy  Alexander made this adorable card for our glitterchicks meeting this month and everyone loved it. She used the Sweet Scoops set from the summer mini and the bowl is made from the wide oval punch. Sandy found the ice cream sticks at a hobby store I think.

Here is a card I did for my downline swap. I used the new Mostly Vintage stencil from the Summer mini and sponged it with Taken with Teal. Then I stamped the Elements of Style swirls all around it. I distressed the paper a bit by ripping and sponging.

This is a card I did as a make and take at my downline meeting last week. I used the Watercolor Trio set from the Stampin Up summer mini and the square lattice embossing folder also from the summer mini. I used old olive and bermuda bay for this card. I am so bummed that bermuda bay is leaving soon. It is one of my favorite colors.

This cute card was made by my good friend Michelle Burkett. SHe used the Watercolor Trio set for the background images and the sentiment is from Favorite Thoughts. Both of these sets are in the Stampin Up summer mini. In case you can't see the words clearly, it says "A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water."

Here is a beautiful card that my friend Deb Valder made using the Watercolor Trio stamp set and the ribbon rose technique. Deb was part of my summer mini swap group. I always love whatever she makes!

This gorgeous card was made by my good friend Debbie Wilson.  I hosted a summer mini swap recently and this was Debbie's card.  I love this set already but her card made me love it even more! If you look really close you can see the cracked glass technique used there for the spotlight part.  Great job Debbie!

This is a card made by my upline Melissa. It kind of reminds me of being on the cruise drinking my tropical drinks. Every day I had to have either a pina colada or a mudslide while laying by the pool….rough life, huh? It sure is hard coming back to reality.
