I just completed 4 classes of this stamp camp and am now offering the tutorial to anyone who couldn't  make it. All stamp camp participants received this for free with the class.  The tutorial is 7 pages long and has big color pictures of each project with box and cutting directions and assembly instructions for each project. I made this card a while back and did a tutorial for a downline newsletter but I just realized that I never posted it on my blog! So, here you go….

First, get your supplies ready…. (note- NQN means not quite navy)

you will need:

Cardstock: Not quite navy  5 1/2 x8 1/2 and 3x 3 1/4. Bella Bleu DSP 5 1/4 x4, very vanilla 2 3/4×3, kraft 4x 3/4. You will also need scraps of NQN, kraft and Bella Bleu for scallop circles and circles.

Punches: 1" circle, 1 1/4" circle, scallop circle and scallop trim border

Stamp sets: Vintage Vogue, well scripted

Ink: Not quite Navy

Misc: kraft taffeta ribbon, sponge

Run your scraps through the crimper so they will be easier to scrunch and work with later.

Punch out 6 scallop circles- 2 of the kraft bella bleu, 2 of the blue bella bleu, and 1 each of kraft and NQN. Also punch out 2 of each size circle (one from each of the DSP colors)

Now crumple all of the punched out circles and scallops into little balls and then flatten them back out again.

Stack them up from biggest to smallest and I alternate colors so you have blue, kraft, blue, kraft, and so on. (I actually think I goofed in this picture and have the bottom ones backwards).  Then take your paper piercer and poke a hole through the center and stick a brad in there to hold them all together.

Starting scrunching your circles again from the top one down as tight as you can get them all.

When  you get all of the layers done, you can gently unfold them a little bit so it looks like a blooming flower.

THen to finish making your card, Stamp the vine from Vintage vogue onto the vanilla piece and stamp your sentiment in the top corner using the NQN ink. Use the scallop trim border punch to punch along the edge of your kraft piece. Adhere this piece to the bottom of your NQN piece and trim the ends so the scallops are the same on both edges.  Sponge edges of scallop border and vanilla piece with NQN ink. Wrap ribbon around the bella bleu dsp and adhere it to the NQN half sheet. Adhere the rest of the pieces and attach to front of card. The flower is attached using a dimensional.

It is time for another video with me today. Don't laugh but about halfway through taping, the kitchen timer goes off and just keeps beeping. I was making banana bread and didn't realize that it was almost done when I started taping this for the 4th time. I didn't have time to film it all over again from the beginning so I just kept on going so just ignore that beeping. It is not your mind playing tricks on you. One of these days I will master the editing with stopping and starting. Anyway, I hope you like this video.

I finally had a chance to do another video! I hope you like it. I would like to do a lot more videos but I need to be able to do them faster. It does take a couple of hours from start to finish…..mostly the editing is what takes so long. It would be so much easier if I could just tell my computer what to do and it would do it for me! LOL! I am showing the Baby Wipe technique with the Autumn Splendor stamp set from the Holiday mini.

I posted a cute gift card holder the other day (June 25th)  and had several requests for directions so I did a tutorial with the help of my daughter Lindsey….she is the hand model holding things so I could snap the pictures.

The original project was done with the Urban Oasis paper and since that is retiring today, I thought I would switch it to the new Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper. I got the original idea from a project on Shelli’s blog. It was a gift she gave to Stampin’Up employees. You can fit 2 gift cards in it or a gift card in one slot and a note in the other one.

This is the finished project and here is how you do it…..

Cut your designer series paper to 4 x 8.

Cut your cardstock in half so that it is 8 1/2 by 5 1/2.

Score the cardstock at 4 and 8 on the long side and at 2 3/4 on the short side.

Fold the flap over at the end and put your snail adhesive down that edge.

Bring the other side over and close it.

Now fold it in half from the bottom.

Leaving it folded, lay the folded piece on the edge of your top note die so that the folded edge is hanging off. You want a little more than half of it hanging off the edge. Make sure you have it centered evenly too.

Run it through with it hanging out like this.

You will be left with this cool looking edge.

Apply your snail adhesive to one side of the project and then flip it over and line it up about 1/8 inch from the top edge of your designer paper.

Now apply the adhesive to the other side and press it down (I have flipped it around in this picture)

Then I used the eyelet border punch along the top edge and then folded that over.

Tie with a ribbon and add your tag and you are all set. Super quick and easy project.

I have had so many requests asking for directions to Melissa’s card that I posted a couple days ago so I decided to do a tutorial with pictures so it would be easier to understand. So, here you go…..

This is the original card I posted….created by my upline Melissa Ellis

and here are the directions…..

This is what you will need……a brayer, a classic ink pad, the Manhattan embossing folder, a Big Shot machine with the cutting pads and all purpose platform, and whisper white cardstock.

Step 1: open the folder so that the flat side is on your right (you can see the arrow and sizzix symbol through the other side)

Step 2: Ink up your brayer in the classic pad color of your choice and roll over the  plastic embossing folder making sure to cover the whole right side….

Step 3: Place your quarter sheet of whisper white cardstock into the center of the folder and close.

Step 4: Run this through your Big Shot machine like you usually would….as you can tell, my cutting pads are well used…..it is kind of hard to see through them anymore! LOL!

This is what it looks like when you pull it out…..

Step 5: Open the folder and remove your paper

The flower will stay white but everything else will turn the color that you brayered onto the folder.

Here is another one I tried using Pacific Point ink.  The darker color really makes the flower pop.
