A couple more from Shelli’s presentation…..

Here are a couple more of the fabulous projects that Shelli demoed on stage at Leadership in Phoenix. The first one is the Fancy Favor box which is one of my favorite dies. It is so easy to make a great gift box with it. I think the silver hodgepodge hardware adds a nice touch to this one.

Here is a close up of the front. She also used the Very Vintage wheel in the Occasions mini.

This is a card she made using the stencils from the decor elements catalog. Love it!

A few of my favorite swaps!

I am posting just a few of my favorite swaps from Leadership. These are actually some of my roommate Terri's swaps that I took pictures of so I don't have the names of who made them. If one of these is yours, let me know and I will add your name on here. Loved these cards. Of course almost any card with that Vintage Vogue set will be one of my favorites. Can you say Gorgeous??? I love that set!

Note: This top card was made by my good friend Cheryl Flynn and I didn't even know it! I love it. Great job Cheryl!

Hope you all are having a fabulous day. I will post more tomorrow. I have my downline meeting tonight so I have to go prepare for that….I am so far behind!

Vintage Vogue meets Valentine’s Day

Here is a different look for the Vintage Vogue set. I never would have thought to use it for a Valentine's Day card but my upline Melissa made this card for a swap I was in and I just love it. To get that lace look, just take a strip of 1 1/2 by 11 inch strip of cardstock and do any border punch along one edge. THen run it through your Stampin Up crimper a couple of times to soften it up and then put a line of sticky strip along the top of the back side of it. As you lay it down, you keep folding a little bit over the layer before it and it gives you that cool look. The hearts are punched out with the Stampin Up Full Heart Punch.

Vintage Lace

I just can't get enough of this Vintage Vogue set. It is my very favorite set in the Stampin Up Occasions mini. Every card I see if so pretty. This one was made by my good friend Cindy Petersen. I love how she made that lace out of the cardstock there on the bottom.

I Love this Vintage Vogue set!

I just love this card. My favorite color is pink and I just love pink and brown (close to cocoa)  together. I really miss that pink pirouette from last year. I REALLY wish they would bring it back. This is a card I made for a swap with a bunch of my friends from all over the country. I am also doing it in all of my clubs this month so if you are in one of my clubs, you will get to make this card too!!!

I used the new Vintage Vogue set and wheeled the background with the matching wheel.

I got the idea for the faux lace from my good friend Kimberly Van Diepen.

It is super easy to do and really gives a card that extra wow factor. I used the new pinking hearts border punch on mine. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Couple of Leadership swaps

I was trying to clean out my stamp room a little bit (TRYING being the key word here) and I noticed I had all these packs of DSP with 2 or 3 sheets left or a bunch of scraps left in them so I thought why not use them to make swap cards for Leadership? I cut all the pieces that were left into 2 1/2 by 4 inch pieces and then matched them up by colors and added a back piece, some ribbon and the Friend stamp from Vintage Vogue (new in the Occasions mini). These cards are all made with the Autumn Traditions and the Cottage Wall DSP.

I used up a ton of scraps that I had and made swaps too so I felt I got a lot accomplished although since I started sewing these bags this week, my stamp room is a total disaster so the organizing never happened….big shocker there.

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful first day of 2010!! Happy New Year!

Is it Spring yet?

On this cold, snowy day in Virginia, I thought I needed to post a touch of spring. I love the yellow and black together on this Vintage Vogue card. This is another card my upline Faith made for me. This is definitely my favorite set from the new Occasions mini which is coming out in just 2 weeks. I can hardly wait! I know you all will LOVE it as much as I do!!
