DCBD challenge #7

By Lisa Freeman | December 24, 2008

Hey stampers,

It is time for this week’s Diva Coffee Break Design Challenge…..here is the sketch I had to use…..and it had to be a Christmas card since it is Christmas Eve…..

Here is what I came up with…..

This photo really doesn’t do the card justice. I took the picture 8 times but I couldn’t get the flowers on the brads or the glitter on the trees to show up well. I used the vanilla hodgepodge hardware kit for the brads and pushed them through the kraft taffeta ribbon. I stamped the trees twice on vanilla and then sprinkled with dazzling diamonds. This is a super easy card but looks really pretty close up. I hope you like it. Why don’t you try the challenge and see what you can come up with? Don’t forget to check out the other Coffee Break Divas listed under the coffee cups in my sidebar. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks!

This is very pretty Lisa. I wish I could see the shimmer and glitter- but I bet it is just stunning IRL! Glad you had time to play this week!

You know: simple is the best! Every time an artist says their card is really simple, I sit up and take notice, because that is when the real beauty shines through instead of being cluttered or overdone. Your card is great, and I’m sure it is even more stunning in person!

Your card is so pretty. I love the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I like how you used it on your card.
