Dress card made with the scallop circle die

By Lisa Freeman | May 3, 2009

Hey stampers,

Here is an idea I have seen a bunch lately so I had to try it myself… It is a dress card made from our scallop circle Big Shot die…who thinks these things up? I don’t know, but I wish it was me!

For this one, I used a piece of Raspberry Tart designer series paper and punched it out with the big shot scallop circle die. Then I used a template that I made to trace out the dress shape. I kind of winged it til I got it to look just right. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the waist and accented with the flower punch and a brad. THe stamp is from the set Absolutely Fabulous. I am demoing a card similar to this in my May classes this month. I don’t want to post it yet because I want it to be a surprise for the girls who are coming.

Great job on your card. I love the border you punched. :) The first person I saw to post this idea and directions was Patty Bennett (since you asked). Have a great week!

Very fun! And if you don’t have a Big Shot you can make a larger version with a Carousel Note Card. Thanks for sharing the inspiration. – Jean

Love this card, it’s so clever to use the scallop circle die to create this fab dress – great job!
