Featured demo of the month (part 2)

By Lisa Freeman | July 13, 2010

Here is part 2 of my Featured Demonstrator of the Month post. This month I am spotlighting Debbie Keane, a wonderful demonstrator in my downline. Here is another fabulous project she made. This one is the Fancy Favor bag made using the big shot die. It is decorated with the Artistic Etchings stamp set on pg 125 in the Stampin Up catalog. I love this stamp set!

This one is a 6×6 recipe page. I love this because I have a whole 6×6 scrapbook to put these recipes in. They make great gifts, especially at Christmas!

I think this is my favorite thing that she made because it was so creative! She used the eyelet border punch and then hung mini cards from it and it says " Lisa's Cards" on the top. This is Totally Tess instead of me…..that waist is definitely too small to be mine! LOL! It kind of reminds me of Barbie's figure.

Here is a cute tropical card made with the Tropical Party stamp set in the summer mini catalog.

This is a really cute box with little mini note cards and envelopes inside. This would also be a great gift idea.

Here is a view of the inside of the box.  Debbie used the same Tropical Party stamp set for this project too.

Hostess sets rock!

By Lisa Freeman | July 11, 2010

The hostess sets this year in the NEW Stampin' Up catalog ROCK! They are so fabulous I want them all! Too bad you can't buy them though. You can get them free however! Just book a Stampin Up workshop with me and they can be yours for freeeeee!  Don't have time to do a workshop? Just take the catalog to work, show all your friends, take orders from them and you can do your own book party and still be the hostess! Just give me a call or email to set it up.

I made this card using the Fast and Fabulous level 2 hostess set and the words are from the level 1 Because I Care set (the hydrangea one). The colors are Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and the ribbon is actually celery but it matches the pear perfectly.  Oh, and that gorgeous background is the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

I know you will want these hostess sets as much as I do so give me a ring today and we can schedule your Stampin Up party!

July Demonstrator of the Month! (part 1)

By Lisa Freeman | July 9, 2010

If you follow my blog, then you know each month I pick one of my fabulous downline to be featured as the demo of the month! It is exciting for them to be showcased and I get a chance to brag about how awesome they are! This month, I am happy to present Debbie Keane as the featured demo of the month. Debbie has been a stamper for longer than I have!  Now she is hooked on Stampin' Up and I am proud to have her in my downline. She created a whole pile of cool things for me to post this month. You can also check out more of Debbie's samples on her blog here. I have to post this on 2 separate days because there are so many wonderful projects to show you.

This first project is a 12×12 scrapbook page using the travel journal designer paper featured in the Stampin Up summer mini. This is an awesome page for any trip you want to take!

Debbie also likes to knit so she made these cute dishcloths and then wrapped them in the Island Oasis designer papers (also in the Stampin Up summer mini). These would make a great gift!

Here is a close up of the tag which is from the Hand Knit stamp set on pg 65 in the Stampin Up catalog.

This is an adorable journal Debbie made for me that has an L on the front for Lisa! She used more of the Island Oasis paper for the front of this.

For this card, Debbie used the Apple Blossoms level 2 hostess set on pg 12 in the Stampin Up catalog.  Very cute and pretty quick and easy.

This is another card showing the Apple Blossoms stamp set. You can get this set for FREE by hosting a Stampin Up party! A set of these would be great for teacher's gifts.

Friends Never Fade

By Lisa Freeman | July 8, 2010

Don't you just love brown and blue together? The green adds a nice touch too. This is a brand new set from the Stampin' Up catalog called Friends Never Fade.  We did this at my free stamping classes yesterday (kind of like an open house, but more organized). I was showing off some of our new products. This one uses the new stamp set, plus the new Greenhouse gala designer paper, and the baja breeze and pear pizzazz papers also. This is a super quick and easy card so I am going to make some extras for swaps for convention. So, if you see me there, come by and swap with me! I am also doing the same card with the yellow, orange and brown combo too!

Studio Sketches…

By Lisa Freeman | July 5, 2010

If you have seen the new Stampin' Up catalog, then I am sure you saw this awesome stamp set. It is one of my new favorites! I made this card as one of my stamp club projects for this month and then I decided to also do it for a swap I just hosted. I decided to bump it up a little so the first card is the original, then I decided to distress the edges of the vase piece and then spritz it with the smooch spray for my swap.

I used the Studio Sketches set for the most of the card, except the background….it is En Francais. Oops, forgot about the Tiny Tags set for the words (also used the jewelry tag punch) The designer paper is the greenhouse gala. The colors are old olive, cajun craze, crumb cake and naturals ivory.

Here is a close up so you can see the smooch spray on there. I used the gold glow one. I love this stuff! On the first card I used the aquapainter on the both the pears and the vase after I stamped them to blend the color, but on the second card, I decided to just do it on the pears and leave the vase as it was. It gives it a totally different look I think.

Which card do you like best?? Leave a comment  and let me know . I like the 2nd one best I think. It is more shabby chic looking.

The New Stampin’ Up Catalog Starts Tomorrow!!!

By Lisa Freeman | June 30, 2010

The new Stampin' Up catalog starts tomorrow! I am so excited!! This gorgeous stamp is in a level 1 hostess set called Because I Care so you can get it for FREE with a $150 or more order. Get a few friends together and do a book party and you can be the hostess, or call me to schedule a workshop! Then I can teach you some great stamping ideas and you will have a blast! I stamped the En Francais background first and then the hydrangea on top. I used markers to color the hydrangea direct to stamp. I think it was pear pizzazz, marina mist and concord crush.  That thin ribbon is also a new product from Stampin Up. It is 1/8 inch taffeta.

Please don’t take my Bermuda Bay away….

By Lisa Freeman | June 28, 2010

I just love this color so much and it goes so well with soft suede too! It is one of my favorite colors but maybe they will bring it back one day. This is another card from my Thoroughly Modern stamp camp.  I love stamping on the pretties kit flowers. They just look gorgeous this way, don't you think? I used the scallop trim border punch for the suede piece and the Very vintage wheel for the background.

Sweet Scoops…just what I need in this heat!

By Lisa Freeman | June 26, 2010

I don't know about you guys, but here in VA it has been extremely hot the past couple of weeks….like in the 100's several days. I don't ever remember it being this hot in June. So, I thought this card would be great to cool you off. The good thing is, if it is too hot to do stuff outside, you can always stay inside and stamp!

This was one of the make  and takes I did for my downline meeting this month. I used the Sweet Scoops stamp set from the Stampin Up Summer mini to make this one. I stamped the cone on white cardstock and then punched it out with the 1 3/4 circle punch. I stamped the ice cream in melon mambo and bermuda bay and cut those out. The background is our new square lattice embossing folder . For the banner, I used my bone folder to soften up the cardstock and then I made it go up and down. It is hard to see that in the photo but it looks better in person.

Vintage Vogue meets Thoroughly Modern

By Lisa Freeman | June 25, 2010

This is another one of the cards I am doing at stamp camp this coming week. I love the Thoroughly modern designer papers and the Vintage Vogue stamp set. The corduroy buttons are also one of my favorites. I am so going to miss them! I used soft suede and bermuda bay ink pads on this one too.
