DCBD challenge #8

 Hey everyone,

For this week’s challenge, we didn’t have a sketch or anything….we just had to create a New Year’s card….my interpretation of that is a New Stampin’ Up Year’s card with a stamp set out of the NEW catalog! This stamp set is one that we received at Founder’s Circle a couple of months ago and I have been dying to use it so I got it out this week and played around with it. I am doing another card with it for a swap so I can’t show you that one (yet). The set is called Simple Friendship and I LOVE IT! It comes with the butterfly, the circle stamp, the true friend and some flowery stamps too. I had a ton of Urban Garden DSP so I thought I would use some of that up (just in case it retires next week). I wish they would tell us which papers were going before I made all of my Leadership swaps (this is one of them). The circle punch is our 1 3/4 inch one and I used the scallops from the pennant die to fit around it. I used baja breeze, kiwi kiss and not quite navy for the colors. I hope you like it. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Also, check out the other Divas listed under the coffee cups in my sidebar. Thanks for looking!

More Love you Much!

I just can’t get enough of this set! I LOVE it!!! This is one I tried the crystal effects on, but it took so long to dry I decided not to do it for a class but I love the look. I copied the vase part from someone but now I can’t remember where I saw it. I loved the crystal effects and the bow though. The whole thing is stamped in riding hood red and then I colored in the vase with chocolate chip…a little too dark… I think I would use close to cocoa next time. Then I colored the whole vase in with crystal effects and actually laid the bow on there while it was still tacky so it was like glue. ***For my local customers: I am doing a stamp camp with this bundle at the end of the month and if you pre-purchase it from me before Jan. 5th, you get $15 off the stamp camp fee (normally $25)

Love you much!

I LOOOOVE this new set and the whole bundle! It is so easy to create a ton of cute samples.

For this one, I stamped the words in real red onto pink pirouette and then used the white gel pen to highlight the vase. I used the real red DSP that is in the level 1 hostess pack.  I used the scallop edge punch on the pink and then used the paper piercer to poke a hole in each scallop. I stamped the friends on the pink and messed up so had to cover that up with the word window punch! I punched out the little mini heart with the new punch too and topped it off with a little glitter!

Love you Much project

Here is a Valentine version of the little top note bag Angie Juda created. I wanted to make one using the new Love You Much set. I stamped the hearts in the white craft pad, then stamped the birds in chocolate chip. I stamped the scallop image 3 times….once on riding hood, once on pink pirouette, and once on close to cocoa….then I punched one out with the scallop punch, one with the 1 1/4 punch and I cut the heart out. I also took the white gel pen and filled in the dots around the outer edge.

Christmas morning…..

Thought I would share a couple of pictures from Christmas morning……Santa Claus brought me a new camera so I had to try it out!

This is Lindsey sitting in front of the Christmas tree getting ready to open presents…..

Here she is trying on some new pajamas!

This is Lindsey on the couch with Chris showing off her favorite new socks. That is my mom in the background. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday! I thought I would share the projects that I did with all of my clubs this month.

I got the idea for this gift bag from Angie Juda’s blog here . We made these at each club and I gave everyone a bag of my homemade Christmas candy to put inside of it, although pretty much everyone ate the candy before we finished the project! The stamp set is from the Country Living special and I cut out the front and back pieces for the bag using the Top note die in the Big Shot.

This was an ornament I made using a coaster, our Ski Slope DSP, the snow flurries,  and our chipboard frames. These are super easy to make. We sponged the frames with close to cocoa craft ink, glued the paper to the coaster, trimmed it and sanded the edges. The snowman is from Punch Pals and we stamped him on watercolor paper and then colored him. The snowflake is attached with a glue dot and then covered in glitter. I love that twine for hanging the ornaments. You can unravel it to give it a totally different look.

This last project was a birthday card I received from my good friend Kimberly Van Diepen. She always does such gorgeous cards and when I showed the card to my customers, they were all begging me to make it in class. The daisies are stamped in white craft and embossed with irridescent ice. THe butterflies are stamped in close to cocoa, cut out and then stamped with the versamark pad and embossed with irridescent ice also. They all loved the card and most of them didn’t want to give it away because it was too pretty to part with.

DCBD challenge #7

Hey stampers,

It is time for this week’s Diva Coffee Break Design Challenge… is the sketch I had to use…..and it had to be a Christmas card since it is Christmas Eve…..

Here is what I came up with…..

This photo really doesn’t do the card justice. I took the picture 8 times but I couldn’t get the flowers on the brads or the glitter on the trees to show up well. I used the vanilla hodgepodge hardware kit for the brads and pushed them through the kraft taffeta ribbon. I stamped the trees twice on vanilla and then sprinkled with dazzling diamonds. This is a super easy card but looks really pretty close up. I hope you like it. Why don’t you try the challenge and see what you can come up with? Don’t forget to check out the other Coffee Break Divas listed under the coffee cups in my sidebar. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks!

More Christmas cards!

I thought I was done posting Christmas cards but then I got a bunch more in the mail today so I thought I would share just a few of them.

This one is gorgeous up close and personal. One of my talented downline, Renee Caffee, sent this one to me. It is on glossy white cardstock and the trees were masked and then blue was brayered across the top and then she took a white gel pen to make the snow. I just love it!

This one was made by one of my other talented downlines, Jessica Vanda. I love how she punched out her kid’s photo with the curly label punch. How cute is that!

This one was sent to me by one of my customers, Elba Mitoraj. She did an awesome job on this one. The red glitter is so pretty. I wish the photos were as good as the real thing….maybe I will get a new camera from Santa Claus this year so my photos will look even better soon!

Here is an adorable sample I made using the paper and the stamp set. The birds are actually printed on the Designer paper! I copied this idea from my upline Jill Olsen. As soon as I saw it, I just had to make it!  I used the craft knife to cut a slit in the bird’s wing and slip the heart in there.

More Christmas cards…

This one came from one of my friends and fellow Stampin Up demo Gina Dygert. She also had a cute snowman card posted on the Stampers Showcase on the Stampin’ UP website yesterday! Way to go Gina!

This one is from one of my talented downline and friend Carol Reid….I  love the pink and black combo.  It is hard to see the glitter in the photo but it really sparkles in person.

This one is from one of my awesome customers, Jean Baynor. The gold embossing on here is so elegant.

This last one is from another one of my talented customers, Lynn Wyndham. The green rhinestone brads really make the tree pop!
