Pop Up Christmas Tree card

By Lisa Freeman | November 12, 2009

Here is a GORGEOUS card my upline Melissa showed us how to make at a recent get together. It is so pretty on the outside, but then you open it and out pops a Christmas tree! I was worried that the pop up tree would be too hard to put together, but it wasn't as daunting as I thought….. especially with Melissa giving me step by step instructions! LOL!  Once you get it the first time, it is actually not that hard. You just have to be willing to try it.

Here is a view from the inside when it pops up……

and here is an aerial view from above. She even wheeled all of the trees ahead of time for us….how awesome is that? I love it when someone else does the work for me! Wouldn't it be nice to have your own personal assistant to get all of your projects ready for you? Maybe someday…..

    Hi Lisa,
I finally mastered making these trees, but just couldn't get it to stand up straight when the card was opened.  I started out using retired DSP, and I think that is the problem. It works better with card stock. I still have a slight problem with it poping out straight, but not as bad.  If you have the secret, please let me know.  By the way I had to watch the video many times before I got it to all come together as a tree. Next is to make it work as a card.

Saw this card at your house on Saturday, LOVE it! It pops up so nicely when the card is opened! I was pondering about ordering that die and I think this sent me over the edge:) Thanks for sharing!
