DCBD challenge #15

Hey stampers! It is Wednesday so that means it is time for the Diva Coffee Break design challenge. Here is our sketch for this week….

and here is what I came up with…..

I used the new set Font of You on pg 46 in the catalog. It is so cute. I stamped the vase in chocolate chip, sponged it in creamy caramel (since we don’t make a kraft pad) and then cut it out. I should have just stamped it on the kraft cardstock to begin with but I didn’t think about that til I was just typing this. I am having a duh moment! The designer paper is our new Parisian Breeze textured paper. It is so nice. I hope you like it. Here are the measurements for the pieces ….

the dsp pieces are both 1 1/2 x4
the baja piece is 2 x 4 1/4
the choco chip piece is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 and
the vanilla piece is 2 1/4 x 3 1/4

Why don’t you try the challenge yourself and see what you can come up with. Email it to me and it might get posted on here! Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Also, don’t forget to check out the other Diva’s cards by clicking on their names under the coffeecups in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. It is amazing to me how many different ideas come out of one layout. I look at yours and think how cool is that and why didn’t I think of something like that. But I will now!! Nice Job Lisa!!!

  2. Lisa, this is beautiful! I have totally eyed that set as well- it is unique and interesting. I love how you showcased the textured paper on this- it is stunning! Also, I like where you put your sentiment. I considered putting one there but was so worried I’d mess up my card after it was totally done and my SAMJ is missing so I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. 🙂 TFS!

  3. I love this card Lisa! The colors are really pleasing and I love it so much! I might try to make it. 🙂

  4. Great job Lisa! I love the set, contimplated it myself, will have to add it to my list! The colors are beautiful together, very nice!

  5. Lisa, what a terrific card. I love it. Again, when I saw the set, I didn’t think that was a set for me. That is until I seen this card you made. I love the paper as well. You are so talented!
