Hey Everyone!
For 4 years, I did a technique class every month, and then I was starting to run out of techniques, so I decided to take a break for a while, but my customers really wanted me to bring it back so we are starting it up again!
My first choice was a technique my friend Cindee Wilkinson showed on her blog. You can check out her post here . I thought it was so cool.
You can also see a video tutorial from Kim Jolley here . She is the one who created this awesome technique.
When I do my technique classes, I do a 6×6 layout with the directions on one page and the sample on the other. Then I show a card using the same technique.
When I started these classes, we still had 6×6 albums in our catalogs, but now we don’t. So, it is a good thing I stocked up on them before they retired so all of my customers were able to get them. Once I run out of them , I will have to figure something else out but until then, that’s what I do.
For the 6×6 page, I used crumb cake, soft suede and powder pink for my color scheme. I also chose the So Many Shells stamp set found on pg 38 in our big Stampin Up catalog.
For my card, I used the new lemon lime twist and night of navy for my colors. I also used my new favorite stamp set, Daisy Delight and matching punch found on pg 127
Here is a close up of the daisy. I stamped it in night of navy, then sponged the edges in lemon lime twist and then took the wink of stella brush and colored the center and the inside half of the flower. It really blended the navy nicely. I love that effect.
There are so many gorgeous products in the Delightful Daisy Suite. You will want to get all of the matching papers, ribbons and accessories to go with your stamp set.
