Gorgeous French Foliage

This gorgeous card was made by my friend Mary Anne Grimmer for a swap I hosted about a month ago. She always does beautiful cards and this one was so creative. I have had it on display at my house and several people asked how she did the tearing so I emailed Mary Anne and this is her tip…..

Okay, I first placed the Designer Paper pieces on the left of the card, to help with placement of the ripped hole.  Then poke your Paper Snips in the cardstock, and cut slits into the paper in a starburst ( just several slits different directions).  Then carefully rip the cardstock toward the edges of the card.  Carefully rip the pieces closer to the open edge, leaving the texture of the ripped paper. Flatten some of the edges, or curl them for a more distressed effect. Save one of your ripped pieces that you tore off, and wrap that piece around the card, adhering in place, and using piercing tool, make hole for easy brad placement.

I love the fall colors and this French Foliage set is one of my new favorites.
